"Development and application of all-component trace heavy metal analysis instrument" passed acceptance

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] On April 25, 2017, the Ministry of Environmental Protection Technology Standards Division held a special "Development and Application Demonstration of All-Component Trace Heavy Metal Analysis Instrument Based on Mass Spectrometry Technology" for the development of national major scientific instrument and equipment in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Project acceptance meeting.

The project was led by the China National Environmental Monitoring Center and focused on Concentration Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), China Food Fermentation Industry Research Institute, and Chinese People's Liberation Army. General Information Special Pollution Environmental Monitoring Station, Henan Environmental Monitoring Center Station, Hubei Environmental Monitoring Center Station, Dalian Environmental Monitoring Center Station, and Wuhan Tianhong Instrument Co., Ltd. are R&D units, aiming to develop Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP) - The key key component of MS-MS is to realize the localization of ICP-MS products and apply it to industries such as environmental protection, geology, and food, eventually forming the industrialization of domestic ICP-MS.

The project leaders and R&D units reported on the completion of each task group and the research results. Professor Zheng Cunjiang of the Provincial Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources made a report on the task of “research on the content of rare earths, rare and scarce elements and their occurrence status in rocks”. The mission is to study the content and occurrence of rare earths, rare and scarce elements in geological samples, and to test and verify mass spectrometry interference and calibration methods on domestic ICP-MS instruments developed by Concentration Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. For the optimization of the parameters in the R&D process of the instrument, improvements were proposed and adopted by the instrument R&D unit. Select different types of sediments and soil national primary standard materials, and perform tests on imported instruments and domestic instruments under the same pretreatment conditions to determine the accuracy and precision of the 15 rare earth elements and 8 rare elements measured. Degree has been evaluated in accordance with relevant industry quality standards, and relevant standards have been developed for the application of domestic ICP-MS in the mining industry. Through the implementation of the mission, it has applied for 1 invention patent, obtained 1 utility model patent, published 9 scientific and technical papers, drafted 6 standard texts, and sent out a postdoctoral fellow to train several technical backbones. This special task passed acceptance.

After listening to the report of the project leader’s project and the report of each task group, the expert group reviewed the relevant materials and conducted an on-site inspection. After questioning and discussion, the expert team considered that the project had broken key technologies that affected the localization of ICP-MS products and developed corresponding The key core components, the application of micro-plasma generation, sample denudation and other technologies, has successfully realized the localization of ICP-MS. The equipment developed by the project has been applied for demonstration at the Environmental Protection Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and various cooperative units. The industrialization of domestic ICP-MS has been successfully implemented in the fields of environmental monitoring, geology and mineral resources, and food safety. The expert group believed that the overall goals and assessment indicators of the project met the requirements of the mission statement and were tested by a third party to complete the project tasks and agreed to pass the acceptance.

By participating in the implementation of the project's tasks, the research results and standard methods of the Zhejiang Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources will enable the EXPEC 7000 ICP-MS to meet the requirements for the determination of complex samples, and will promote the possibility of adopting home-grown ICP-MS in fields such as mining, environmental protection, and agriculture. At the same time, the results of the determination methods for rare earths and rare-earth element occurrence states will greatly increase the level of resource utilization in China and around the world.
