Jiangsu Suzhou Institute of Energy Conservation Monitoring Project Examines and Promotes Energy Efficiency

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] On January 16, the science and technology project “Air Compressor Energy Efficiency Test and Energy Saving Evaluation System” undertaken by the Jiangsu Measurement Research Institute successfully passed the acceptance inspection organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision.

In 2015, the Energy Metering Center of the City Metrology Institute started from the energy-saving and low-carbon demand, and through the collaborative innovation of “Production, Inspection, and Research”, it cooperated with Suzhou University to develop the “Air Compressor Energy Efficiency Test and Energy Saving Evaluation System”. This project was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision and Technology Project. At the project acceptance meeting, five experts from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the Suzhou Industrial Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang University visited the project summary report, user feedback report, and major equipment verification certificate to watch simulation test demonstrations and listen to reports. After on-site questioning, it was agreed that the research project completed all the indicators and tasks specified in the project's mission statement and had a strong practical application value.

The project starts from energy-saving and low-carbon demand on the supply side and demand side of the “air compressor system” and can monitor the pressure, temperature, dew point, and power quality quality of the air compressor system in real time through on-line acquisition, wireless communication, and NI technology. Actual volumetric flow, power consumption, specific power and other parameters, and presented in the form of images or numbers, with energy-saving monitoring and evaluation, energy saving measurement and verification, energy-saving simulation, waste heat recovery assessment, exhaust quality testing and verification, etc. The function realized real-time on-site detection and intelligent assessment of "air compressor system". At present, the project's energy-saving monitoring and compressed air quality testing have been approved by CNAS and have been successfully applied in the air compressor system energy efficiency testing and compressed air quality testing of 11 companies in the Suzhou area.
