On September 20, a high-level forum for the construction of natural gas energy and chemical industry bases in western China (Sichuan and Dazhou) organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association and the People's Government of Dazhou City, Sichuan Province and organized by the China Chemical Industry News Agency was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The information that will be uploaded is: Dazhou, Sichuan Province is advancing the construction of a natural gas energy and chemical industry base in western China. By 2010, it will strive to achieve an output value of more than 10 billion yuan and a tax of more than 1.5 billion yuan.
Dazhou has a unique advantage in building a natural gas energy chemical base. The city has identified 28 types of minerals that can be mined and utilized, including 763 million tons of coal and 111 billion tons of rock salt. In particular, natural gas resources amount to 3.8 trillion cubic meters, which is one of the three major gas fields in China. At present, there are 78 of the 112 gas fields discovered in the Sichuan-Yunnan region. Dazhou is also one of the logistics hubs in Sichuan and an important material distribution center in the Qinba region. In recent years, well-known companies such as PetroChina, Sinopec, and Hong Kong Nanyi have settled in Dazhou.
At the meeting, Li Xiangzhi, secretary of the Dazhou Municipal Committee, introduced that the base will use the natural gas energy and chemical industry zone as an entry point, and strive to build a modern energy and chemical industrial zone integrating natural gas chemical industry, natural gas power generation, sulfurization, salt chemical and coal chemical industry. By 2010, it will strive to achieve an output value of more than 10 billion yuan and a tax of more than 1.5 billion yuan.
At present, the "Development Plan for Natural Gas Chemical Industry in Dazhou City" prepared by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute, the "Research on the Feasibility of Comprehensive Development and Utilization of Natural Gas in Dazhou" undertaken by the School of Chemical Engineering of Sichuan University, and the "Dazhou" prepared by the Sichuan Provincial Chemical Design Institute "Natural Gas Energy Chemical Industry Zone Master Plan" has been completed. A number of major projects began to operate. The Luojiazhai Nissan 9 million cubic meter desulphurization plant has been under construction and the Huaxunshan Power Plant 2×300,000 kilowatts will be completed soon. The Star Energy LNG project will start construction in October this year, and Bayi Power has also initially completed the preparation of a feasibility report for a 2×350,000 kilowatt natural gas power generation project.
According to reports, the base has currently planned an annual output of 300,000 tons and 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 1.3 million tons of urea projects, an annual output of 1 million tons of methanol dimethyl ether project, and methanol, acetic acid, natural gas to acetylene, PVC, 1 , 4-butanediol, natural gas power generation, liquefied natural gas and other projects.
