Xu Lijie said that in 1986, Grace established Grace (China) Co., Ltd. in the Minhang Economic Development Zone in Shanghai and became the first wholly foreign-owned enterprise in the People's Republic of China. It mainly produces cans of sealant products, including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Tsingdao Brewery. Now use this product. The company then produced concrete additives that were used in almost every major Chinese project. Grace then set up two factories in Zengcheng, Guangdong and Tanggu, Tianjin to achieve "Made in China" for cement and concrete additives. At present, Grace has established a sales network in China and has established technical service centers in Shunde, Guangdong, Shanghai Minhang and Beijing to provide tailor-made solutions for Chinese customers. Grace’s business in China continued to grow, with sales up 30% year-on-year in the first half of this year.
When talking about the development of the company, Xu Lijie said that China is a magical country and changes every day. The rapid development of China's economy is a great opportunity for Grace. At present, Grace's Asia Pacific operations account for 15% of Grace, while China only accounts for 3%. Grace, one of the world leaders in the field of specialty chemicals, looks forward to a better future in China.
Xu Lijie told reporters that the new CEO of Grace, Fan Sida, is full of confidence in China’s development and clearly stated that Grace’s future Asia-Pacific region’s focus is in China, and has begun to adopt a series of measures, including focusing on the Asia-Pacific business unit manager to Shanghai in April this year. The company will focus its sales and procurement business in China on Shanghai and set up Grace China's regional headquarters in Shanghai during the year. Xu Lijie said that in China, Grace has a bright future for every business. From Gap products to building materials, from medicine development to environmental technology, and refined fuels and plastic products, Grace will always be at the forefront. Recently the company is planning a new investment in China to ensure rapid growth in the next few years.
