On May 10, 2011, the China Association of Automotive Engineers and the China Environmental Protection Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the “two sessionsâ€) convened a “Seminar on the Application of SCR Tail Gas Treatment Fluids for Diesel Commercial Vehicles†in Beijing. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and major commercial vehicle companies in China participated in the meeting and discussed the SCR exhaust gas purification technology for diesel commercial vehicles in China .
The national “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†has added new binding indicators that require a 10% reduction in total emissions of nitrogen oxides. The Ministry of Environmental Protection has imposed a mandatory 29% reduction in the emission of nitrogen oxides in Phase IV of domestic motor vehicles compared with Phase III of China. Research shows that at present, the domestic automotive nitrogen oxide emissions account for 31% of the total emissions, of which the nitrogen oxide emissions of heavy-duty diesel vehicles with only 5% of total vehicle capacity account for 74% of total vehicle emissions. Therefore, heavy-duty diesel vehicles are the focus of future emission reduction control. At present, foreign heavy-duty diesel vehicles mainly use catalytic reduction (Selective Catalytic Reduction, SCR for short) post-treatment. The “two sessions†suggested that the state should formulate SCR diesel vehicle exhaust gas product standards as soon as possible. Domestic commercial heavy-duty diesel vehicle manufacturers should speed up the production and supply of SCR technology commercial diesel vehicles. Sinopec and other oil companies should make full use of their product technology and sales network. Advantages: Accelerate the supply of SCR diesel vehicle tail gas treatment fluid production and retail outlets, and contribute to national environmental protection and energy conservation.
