Mobil Singapore grease and synthetic lubricant plant expansion project completed

On June 6, 2017, Singapore--Exxon Mobil announced today that it has completed the expansion project on Jurong Island and will increase the production capacity of grease and synthetic lubricants, including the company's flagship product, Mobil 1. The completion of the expansion project has attracted the attention of people of all circles. Mr. Yang Jiquan, managing director of the Singapore Economic Development Council, also attended the completion ceremony.

The expansion of the Jurong Lubricant Plant further strengthens ExxonMobil’s production capacity, which can effectively meet the growing demand for grease and synthetic lubricant products in the Asia Pacific region.

“Based on our strategic plan, these new grease and synthetic lubricant production facilities are located close to the major markets in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring that we can reliably provide customers with quality products,” said Zhang Songbin, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific lubricant sales director. “ExxonMobil's advanced lubricants and greases can effectively increase the operational efficiency and fuel economy of the equipment, help save energy and reduce emissions, and thus contribute to the sustainable development of society.”

The grease plant was formally put into production in January 2017. The synthetic lubricant plant was completed in March 2017 and was put into production in April after the smooth trial operation.
