Guangzhou Petrochemical made major breakthroughs in energy conservation

Recently, Sinopec Guangzhou Branch passed the on-site verification of energy conservation assessment of key energy-consuming enterprises under the national supervision—the energy saving task has been completed for two consecutive years since the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”. Guangzhou Petrochemical has saved 38,022 tons of standard coal in 2006, a year-on-year saving of 11.07%. In 2007, 94,506 tons of standard coal were saved, a year-on-year saving of 38.38%.
As one of China’s 1,000 key energy-consuming enterprises, it has a modern large-scale petrochemical complex that can process 13 million tons of crude oil annually and 200,000 tons of ethylene per year. Feng Jianping, manager of Guangzhou Petrochemical, said that new breakthroughs have been made in energy conservation in the past two years. The reason is that enterprises can correctly handle the relationship between production and management and energy conservation and emission reduction, the relationship between recent benefits and sustainable development of enterprises, integrate energy conservation and emission reduction into the development strategy, management system, and daily business activities of enterprises, and strive to make them Become the belief and action of every employee.
In accordance with the needs of energy conservation, Guangzhou Petrochemical has established an energy-saving and water-saving room, added special personnel to manage energy-saving and water-saving work, strengthened the inspection, supervision, and guidance of energy-saving and water-saving work, and at the same time decomposed and lowered the energy consumption indexes such as fuel power to all units. Determine the responsible person, and link the completion of energy-saving and water-saving tasks with the performance assessment of the cadres.
The sharpness of the energy-saving task, and the smooth operation of the device are the fundamental guarantees for ensuring the completion of energy-saving tasks. The “carrots and sticks” strategy enables the operators to operate more meticulously and carefully analyze the changes in various data during the production process. As long as the weather gets colder, on-duty personnel will stop some fans according to the water temperature. The operating personnel operating the heating furnace consciously increased the frequency of inspections to observe the coking conditions of the furnace, and immediately shot and soot in order to increase the thermal efficiency of the heating furnace.
Guangzhou Petrochemical also relies on heat to recover heat from the cooling process of the process logistics to preheat the logistics that needs to be heated, convert the heat energy into a system, reduce thermal energy loss, and improve thermal efficiency through comprehensive utilization.
The original design of Guangzhou Petrochemical Ethylene Cracking Furnace did not have an air preheater. After the naphtha entered the cracking furnace system, it was heated from room temperature to more than 1000°C and pyrolyzed into ethylene, propylene, butadiene, methane hydrogen, crude pyrolysis gasoline, etc. The product, fuel gas, accounts for a significant proportion of energy consumption. Guangzhou Petrochemical has transformed the air preheater in each furnace and used extra low pressure steam to heat the air entering the cracking furnace, so that the air entering the furnace is heated from room temperature to 85°C~90°C to increase the thermal efficiency of the cracking furnace and reduce fuel consumption. Air consumption. Each air preheater can save 103 kilograms of fuel gas per hour, which can be estimated to save nearly 10,000 tons of standard coal. 6 sets of air preheater investment of 4 million yuan, calculated as annual savings of standard coal tons, can create an annual effect of about 500 million.
Guangzhou Petrochemical began to invest 14.5 million yuan in 2003, and it has taken the lead in implementing sewage treatment and reuse projects among domestic refinery companies. Through the addition of technical devices, sewage that complies with the discharge standards can be used to refill water in the company's internal recycling water and realize the reuse of resources. At present, Guangzhou Petrochemical has invested a total of RMB 25 million in the research and application of wastewater reuse technology, and the annual sewage reuse amount has reached 5 million tons. Through the reuse of sewage, it will not only save the amount of fresh water, but also reduce the external displacement. The consumption of fresh water for processing 1 tonne of oil in Guangzhou Petrochemical was 0.81 tons in 2006 and 0.5 ton in 2007, a drop of 38.27%. At the same time, Guangzhou Petrochemical also constructed rainwater recovery and purification facilities according to the rainy characteristics of Guangzhou, and tried its best to reduce the amount of fresh water.
