Mercedes-Benz, a subsidiary of the Daimler Group, recently released global sales data for November, in which Mercedes-Benz brand sales achieved the highest level in the same period of the previous year.
Mercedes-Benz (including Mercedes-Benz and Smart brands) sold 172,793 new cars worldwide in November, up 9.2% year-on-year. From January to November, the company's cumulative global sales climbed 15.1% to 1,802,869 units.
Among them, the Mercedes-Benz brand sold 161,953 units last month, up 7.4% year-on-year; the cumulative sales in the first eleven months reached 1,693,494 units, up 13.9% year-on-year.
The Smart brand's global sales last month increased by 45.3% year-on-year to 10,840 units, and cumulative sales surged 37.6% year-on-year to 109,375 units.
In November, the Mercedes-Benz brand sold a total of 67,500 new cars in Europe, up 10.5% year-on-year; North American sales were dragged down by the United States, down 12.0% year-on-year to 34,100 units, and US sales fell 13.1% year-on-year to 30,043 units. The Asia-Pacific region was driven by China's growth, with sales up 24.7% year-on-year to 55,725 units.
Mercedes-Benz sales in China increased by 38.7% year-on-year to 36,313 units last month. From January to November this year, Mercedes-Benz sales in China totaled 335,688 units, an increase of 32.8% year-on-year.
