Ore nature
The ore widely treated by Benfen Nanfen Mineral Processing is a typical Anshan-type lean magnetite ore. Iron ore minerals magnetite, hematite containing a small amount; gangue minerals dominated by quartz, with small amounts of hornblende, chlorite, calcite, mica, apatite and epidote. The ore is in the form of a strip, consisting of an interbedded layer of iron mineral layer and gangue layer. The thickness of the iron ore strip is 0.5-0.8 mm on average, and the thickness of the non-ferrous ore strip is 0.2-0.4 mm on average. The iron mineral is finely embedded, and the inlaid grain size is about 0.1 mm.
The ore specific gravity is 3.3 to 3.5, the ore has a hardness of 8 to 12, and the magnetic permeability is about 33% to 36%.
Selection process
The concentrator adopts a stage grinding phase selection process. In this process, the ore is first coarsely ground to 0.3 mm to substantially dissociate the gangue layer from the iron mineral. The rough grinding product is first selected by magnetic desilting tank, and part of the final tailings (fine gangue and slime separated by monomer) and coarse concentrate which needs to be reground and re-selected are selected. The coarse ore is finely ground to about 0.1 mm. At this time, most of the iron minerals and gangue minerals are separated from each other. After fine grinding, the coarse concentrate is sorted by magnetic desilting tank and cylindrical magnetic separator. The obtained magnetic separation concentrate enters the vibrating fine sieve and sieves, and the sieved product enters the last section of the magnetic desilting tank to obtain the final concentrate and tailings. The on-screen product is returned to the fine grinding mill for re-grinding. The tailings selected in each sorting operation are combined to form the final tailings.
The process is relatively simple and the indicators are good. When the ore grade is 30%, the selected concentrate grade can reach 68%, and the recovery rate is about 82%.
Handling Anshan-type lean magnet ore, whether domestic or foreign, generally adopts stage grinding and stage selection process. In recent years, the process of existing magnetic separation plants has been continuously strengthened and improved. In order to obtain high-grade concentrates, in addition to increasing the number of sortings (using 4-10 magnetic separators for sorting), some magnetic separation plants have added reverse flotation operations for magnetic separation concentrates, which will be connected with collectors.
