Independent brands achieve zero breakthrough in modular production of core components

The reporter was informed today at the "Budget to Become a Transformer" mass production ceremony for the Beijing Automotive Powertrain. It was learned from the mass production of the F25/F35 transmission produced by the Beijing Automotive Group's acquisition of Saab's automotive technology in 2009 and lasted for three years. During the period, BAIC Power completed the research on the two core technologies of the engine and gearbox, achieving the absorption, transformation and innovation of Saab technology and achieving the goal of full-scale mass production. At this time, the “Heart” hematopoietic function of Beiqi's own brand was complete.

According to reports, the F25/F35 transmission that was put into mass production this time was derived from Saab's original manual transmission product. Its quality and performance were fully met and even some of the indicators exceeded the level of the original machine. This marked that BAIC Power fully owns its own brand engine and The mass production capacity of the transmission achieved a breakthrough in the “zero” of localized modular production of core components.

According to the plan, by the end of 2013, Beijing Auto will form an annual production capacity of 300,000 units of its own-brand passenger car engines and transmissions; in 2015, it will have a manufacturing capacity of 400,000 engines and 400,000 transmissions, thus becoming integrated and modular. Chemical production, China's domestic leading and world-class BAIC power base.

In addition, the relevant person in charge of BAIC Dynamics revealed that BAIC Power will also be at the forefront of world technology development and jointly develop a 1.5-liter direct-injection, turbo-charged gasoline engine with the United States FEV; in addition, the CVT jointly developed with Germany's Bosch Into the production preparation stage, its own research and development of 1.8T engine has also entered the official car market.

Electrolytic cells are cast monolithically based on a patented, three-layer composite material system:
The Internal layer is a monolithic tank made with multiple layers of fiber-reinforced vinyl ester resin (FRP) complying with chemical barrier international norms that assure long-term impermeability and corrosion resistance.
The Intermediate layer is the structural core made with polymer Concrete, with a patented formulation to achieve a low coefficient of thermal expansion, providing long-term structural integrity with low thermally-induced stresses
The External layer is a standard seal layer of FRP that further protects the structural core from electrolyte splashes and spills. Optionally,this external seal may be specified with multi-layered oriented fiber reinforcements to guarantee trouble-free operation in unusually extreme operating environments.
