Experts pointed out that due to the increasing strain on phosphate resources in recent years and the serious environmental pollution caused by the production of phosphorus chemical products, the production cost of phosphorus chemical products has been increasing year by year, and the pressure on environmental protection is increasing. The production of bulk basic phosphorus chemical products is being transferred from developed countries to developing countries, while foreign phosphorus chemical industry has gradually shifted to the development and research of new products and technologies.
Li Xiaoni, vice president of the China Minmetals Chemicals Import & Export Chamber of Commerce, said that currently the phosphorus chemical industry is facing challenges such as market saturation, increased energy-saving and emission reduction requirements, and reduced benefits. Enterprises must realize that they must stand firm in a new round of market competition. Only the development of circular economy, accelerate technological innovation, extend the phosphorus chemical industry chain, increase product added value.
"The domestic phosphate fertilizer industry has a relatively high level in terms of phosphate mining, phosphor ammonium, phosphogypsum production of co-produced sulfate, yellow phosphorus production technology, but the formation of a complete circular economy industry chain is still lagging behind." Zhao Yufen, an academician of the Academy of Sciences, pointed out that the European Union has already stipulated that phosphorous chemical production may not use phosphate ore as raw material, and at least 50% of it needs to be recycled. The use of resources must be diversified. Professor Hu Shanying of the Ecological Engineering Center of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University believes that learning from the natural ecological operating model is the only way to solve the current high-speed development of the industry and the shortage of resources, energy shortages and environmental pollution.
Zhong Benhe, professor of the School of Chemical Engineering of Sichuan University, pointed out that the phosphorus chemical industry should actively develop fine-phosphorus chemical products and develop high-purity yellow phosphorus and phosphoric acid, especially organic phosphorus chemical products. Such as yellow phosphorus and thermal process phosphoric acid as raw materials for deep processing products, flame retardants, plasticizers and other organic phosphides. It is necessary to increase the scientific and technological content of deep processing products and increase the efficiency of resource utilization.
Zhong Benhe believes that to change the current status of China's phosphorus chemical industry, which is scattered, small and chaotic, and the level of resource utilization and environmental protection is relatively low, there is an urgent need for the intervention of large-scale phosphorus chemical companies to increase the overall level. The involvement of large companies will bring changes to the industry's competitive landscape. The survival and development of small businesses must be achieved through energy conservation and consumption reduction and the development of refined products, otherwise they will face elimination.
Zhong Benhe proposed that China's phosphorus chemical industry has gradually formed a pattern in which the parent product is close to the origin of raw materials and the key development of phosphorus derivatives and fine chemicals in the coastal areas. To build a green industrial chain and a large-scale phosphorus chemical production base, comprehensive utilization should be considered from the upstream phosphate mining. A high-grade lump ore can be used to produce yellow phosphorus, and the remaining high-grade ore fines can be directly used to produce wet-process phosphoric acid. Low-grade ore can be used to produce wet-process phosphoric acid after beneficiation; the scale of production of wet-process phosphoric acid should reach the economic scale to achieve large-scale production; some of the phosphoric acid can be used directly for the production of phosphate fertilizer products, and some of the phosphoric acid can be refined to industrial or food grade, refined. The residual acid produced by the process enters the phosphate fertilizer production unit as raw material. In this way, the entire process realizes the maximization of resource utilization and will also give birth to a group of enterprises with strong overall competitiveness.
It is understood that in recent years, some domestic regions and phosphate fertilizer companies are building a recycling economy industrial chain. Taizhou Fusheng Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. has developed phosphorus-based chemical downstream products such as phosphorus trichloride and phosphorus oxychloride, focusing on the production of new products such as phosphate esters and flame retardants. At present, the company's three phosphorus trichloride, phosphorus oxychloride two products have the highest production capacity in the country.
Hubei Xingfa Group currently owns 144 million tons of phosphate ore reserves. In addition to self-sufficiency, phosphate ore can be sold partly. At present, the group has more than 10 hydropower stations and its electricity self-sufficiency rate exceeds 40%. Ming Bing, the deputy general manager of the group, said that the abundant phosphate resources have laid a solid foundation for the development of the downstream phosphorus chemical industry in Xingfa. At present, the company has formed a complete industrial chain of phosphate ore-power plant-phosphorus chemical industry, and the downstream phosphorus chemical product chain is continuously expanding.
