Massachusetts Institute of Technology developed a new lithium battery phone life completely saved

Lithium battery life has always been a headache in the industry, the father of lithium batteries Sony has even sold the business, no longer devote their energies, let alone technical breakthroughs.

The good news is that SolidEnergy Systems, led by MIT, claims to have developed a new battery that replaces the common anode materials such as LiFePO4. They use thinner, higher-energy lithium-ion foils that hold more ions. Techspot pointed out that there was an example of using lithium metal (such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences), but the problem lies in the higher resistance and temperature limits.

However, SolidEnergy provides a complete liquid electrolyte solution that allows these batteries to operate without worrying about operating temperatures too high. In addition, the battery's energy density is also doubled, so mobile phones and other electronic devices to enhance the life while also thinner.

SolidEnergy now the scheme has been more mature, is expected to commercial in 2017.
