Machine tool remanufacturing market achieves cyclic production

The State shall formulate technical standards and industry standards for remanufactured mechanical and electrical products as soon as possible, and clearly define the products to achieve the effect and longevity, so that users do not have to worry about quality when purchasing remanufactured products. As soon as possible, a corresponding tax rebate policy is introduced to encourage remanufacturing enterprises to develop vigorously, and on the other hand, to encourage the market to consume and remanufacture products.

China is a big manufacturing country in the world, and it is also a big machine tool country. At present, there are about 8 million machine tools in China, and it has been the world's largest machine tool consumer for seven consecutive years. According to the elimination rate of 3% in the world, nearly 240,000 machine tools enter the elimination process every year, accounting for about half of the domestic production of new machine tools. If full use is made of the castings such as the bed and column of waste machine tools, and their restoration and reconstruction, it can save about 60% of energy consumption, save 70% of the cost, and reduce the emission of pollutants by more than 80%, thus achieving cyclic production.

With the use of intact castings from used machine tools, the technical transformation of the plant can be re-introduced and the operation accuracy and service life are no less than new machine tools. Yesterday, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held an on-site exchange of national machine tool industry remanufacturing technology in Han to sum up pilot experience and explore industrial development trends.

At present, the remanufacturing industry is moving toward industrialization. The three enterprises of Central China Auto Control, Wuzhong and Chollima have been included in the nation’s first batch of pilot remanufacturing of electromechanical products, which has played a role in promoting the development of the remanufacturing industry in Hubei. Among them, Huazhong Automation and Wuzhong Group are mainly engaged in the remanufacturing of machine tools, while Chollima focuses on the remanufacturing of construction machinery. Yesterday, the pilot work of the three companies was fully affirmed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Gao Dongsheng, deputy director of the Energy Conservation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the meeting that after several years of trials, machine tool remanufacturing urgently needed to expand its scale and shift to industrialization. At present, VAT preferences for remanufacturers are on the agenda, which will benefit the remanufacturing industry.
