Necessary, there is no test means, local tires are difficult to enter the auto market, and exports to the future is also very unfavorable. At present, the conditions for the construction of tire testing sites in China have matured, and the role of companies, governments, and domestic and foreign investment groups should be brought into play to jointly promote the construction of test sites.
Fan Rende believes that the tire testing ground is an important means for the application of new tire technology and the development of new products, and it is also an important symbol to reflect the level of tire production and development in a country. Without a tire testing ground, it will be difficult for China to move from a big tire country to a tire power. The incomplete test method has become the bottleneck for tire companies’ independent innovation, which has led to the inability of Chinese tires to enter the original tire market and can only be used as replacement tires. In addition, the European Union stipulates that starting in 2012, tire manufacturers must specify on the tires performance such as fuel efficiency, wet skid resistance and noise, noise, wet road performance, and rolling resistance that characterizes fuel efficiency. Tire test sites can obtain accurate data. However, China has not yet had a tire testing ground of its own so it is imperative to build a domestic tire testing ground.
It is understood that the construction of the tire testing ground has been brewing in China for more than 10 years. The country has also set up a special project for this purpose. However, due to various reasons, it has been abandoned halfway. The dream of the testing ground in the tire industry has not been realized. Now that China has the conditions to build a tire testing ground, the enthusiasm of tire companies is unprecedentedly high, and some private investment groups are also very optimistic about this project. However, due to the huge investment in the construction of a tire testing ground, the maintenance cost is very high, and it is difficult to maintain in the case of insufficient test volume. To this end, Fan Rende suggested that, relying on specialized agencies to perform preliminary risk assessments, the state should take the lead and participate in the association's participation in the construction of a domestic public-type tire testing ground for the entire industry.
