On April 2nd, the start-up meeting for the Tire Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance was held in Beijing. At the kick-off meeting, President Li Yongwu proposed that the tire industry technology innovation alliance should focus on three issues during its operation. The second is to maintain openness. The first batch of more than 20 member units should be based on industrial technological innovation, closely integrated production, study and research, based on scientific development, targeting major industrial key technologies and common technical goals, and concentrating on breakthroughs.
The alliance was led by the Tire Industry Leading Enterprise Delta Group. The alliance members have absorbed more than 20 companies with technological advantages in the tire industry, institutes and universities. The formation of a strategic alliance for technological innovation is an inevitable requirement for China's tire industry to strengthen technological innovation, adjust its industrial structure and transform its development approach. It is understood that the alliance will build an industrial common technology development platform based on the needs of technological innovation in the tire industry; fully develop technological independent innovation and industry, gather and integrate industry innovation resources, form an industrial technology innovation chain, and focus on breaking key common technologies for industrial development. Accelerate the promotion and application of technology and industrialization, realize the overall improvement of tire manufacturing system; develop new products with independent intellectual property rights, such as low-temperature mixed rubber new technology, smart radial tires, and break the international market for China's product quality, environmental protection, fuel economy, etc. Technical barriers to trade will ultimately make China's tire manufacturing technology reach the world's advanced level.
Hu Qianlin, deputy secretary general of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association and secretary-general of the Union, introduced the alliance’s recent innovation goals and tasks. The alliance will focus on the theme of “The Outline of the National Medium- and Long-Term Scientific and Technological Development Plan Development (2006-2020)†in the field of manufacturing (28) “The greenization, automation and equipment of the process industryâ€, aiming at the development of the products of internationally renowned tire companies. Trends, strive to achieve breakthroughs in the core equipment technology, new process technology, information technology control technology and supporting material preparation technology of tire production, form a batch of common technology and achievements of independent intellectual property rights, and apply it to key enterprises in the tire industry in China to solve China has serious shortages of tire high-end products, energy saving and emission reduction tasks are arduous and other issues. Secretary Hu Qianlin also introduced the cooperation model of alliance organizations and alliance members. The coalition will give material rewards to members for applying for patents to encourage technological innovation in the industry and promote technological progress in the industry.
