First, the promotion of LED lighting energy saving potential is mainly reflected in three aspects.
1. LED is promoted and applied in urban lighting. For example, only municipal lighting in 657 cities across the country (excluding about 2,000 county towns and 20,000 small towns) has 17.7 million municipal street lamps, and the number of landscape lighting is huge. As China is in the period of rapid urbanization, the urban population will increase by more than 10 million a year, and the street lights will increase by 121.5 million per year, and the process will continue for 25 or even 30 years. If the city's new street lights are all LED, and some old street lights and landscape lighting are changed to LED lighting, the potential and development prospects can be imagined.
2. Promote LED lighting in residential buildings. As a big construction country, China has built 2 billion square meters of new buildings every year, which is equivalent to half of the world's new buildings in China. There must be at least 20 lights in each building unit. In addition, during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the government will pay for it. There are 36 million sets of affordable housing, which will have the potential of 5.6 billion LED lights. The built-up area in the city has reached more than 20 billion square meters. According to experts' estimates, if 30 LEDs are used, it can save more than 100 billion kWh. Compared with other energy-saving projects, the potential of LED lamps is very large. For example, if the national motor 50 is changed to a high-efficiency motor, it can save 3.4 billion kWh of electricity. This is because the motor energy saving 10 is remarkable. But LEDs can save more than 50 energy by replacing traditional incandescent lamps.
3. The vast rural market has greater potential for application. At present, the most urgent thing is that nearly 20 million farmers lack electricity and electricity. If these households use solar energy and LED integration to replace the power supply of large power grids, the annual electricity saved will be more than 50 billion degrees. If the traditional large power grid is extended to these remote small villages, not only will the 75 power consumption be consumed on the line, but the maintenance cost will be extremely high, and the total investment will exceed 50 billion yuan. The solar photovoltaic and LED lighting integrated facilities of the households can solve the lighting problem with only 1600 yuan per household, and the maintenance cost is extremely low. It can be seen that LED promotion and application is undoubtedly one of the main battlefields for energy conservation and emission reduction in China.
