Last year, construction machinery sales increased only 2.96%

Su Zimeng, secretary general of China Construction Machinery Industry Association, revealed at the media meeting of the 2013 Global Construction Machinery Industry Conference that in 2012 China's construction machinery industry had sales of 562.6 billion yuan, an increase of 2.96% year-on-year. The growth rate of the industry has significantly declined. In 2011, the sales of construction machinery industry increased by 20.7% year-on-year.

The president of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, Jun Jun, said that the industry is generally faced with a decline in efficiency. According to the statistics of 13 key industry groups in the industry, the sales revenue of these 13 companies in 2012 was 369.86 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.68% compared to 2011; the profit decreased by 22.343 billion yuan, a decrease of 34.1%; the profit margin was from 2011. 8.83% of the year was reduced to 6.04% in 2012.
