In recent days, the province has arranged a budget of 8 million yuan in capital construction funds, focusing on the key support for mechanization and standardization of the bee industry. This has added stamina to the implementation of the "Apiculture Development Plan for Shandong Province (2014-2020)", indicating that the mechanization will lead the development of the apiculture industry.

According to this plan, Shandong Province will strive to achieve key breakthroughs in bee standardization, mechanized aquaculture, and bee product quality and safety, and continue to improve bee-keeping efficiency. To this end, 30 standardization and mechanized apiculture demonstration sites will be established in the apiculture production advantage area, and 15 standardized and mechanized apiculture demonstration sites will be built in the high-quality honey source advantage area along the Yellow River. The honey and royal jelly produced will reach the national standard. . By 2020, more than 120 large-scale apiaries will increase from the current proportion of less than 30% to 60%. In addition, our province will also accelerate the construction of a digital information service platform for apiculture.
