The Yokohama Rubber Rayong Factory was completed in 2004 and employs 1,960 people. The factory can produce 5 million tires per year and consume about 10,000 tons of natural rubber. Punnaphop Boriboon said that after the expansion, the factory will consume 5,000 tons of natural rubber per year.
Yokohama Rubber holds a 20% share of the market in Thailand's auxiliary tire market, with a share of approximately 5% in the replacement tire market.
