Bohai Rim Environmental Monitoring Instrument Innovation Strategic Alliance Launches

The Bohai Rim Environmental Monitoring Instrument Innovation Strategic Alliance was formally launched on June 15. The launching ceremony and the unveiling ceremony were held in the first floor conference room of the Science Library of Tianjin University. More than 30 responsible persons from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Tianjin Science and Technology Commission, Tianjin Environmental Protection Bureau, National Environmental Monitoring Station, Tianjin Lanlike Chemical Electronic High Technology Co., Ltd., and Hebei Xianhe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. attended the event. The topics related to the development of environmental monitoring instruments in China were discussed. Yuan Yingjin, Vice President of Tianjin University, attended the meeting and delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Tianjin University. The meeting was chaired by Li Xingfei, the secretary-general of the league and vice president of Jingyi College of Tianjin University.

Li Xingfei first introduced the background of the honored guests and the establishment of the alliance. The alliance is initiated by the leading enterprises in the field of environmental monitoring instruments in the Bohai Rim region, research institutes and other related organizations under the background of China's vigorous development of the environmental protection industry. It is committed to exploring the establishment of an industrial technology innovation mechanism that integrates production, education, and research, with enterprises as the mainstay, market orientation, and college scientific research units, and promotes the development of key technologies, commonalities, and significant frontier technologies for environmental monitoring technologies and instruments.

Yuan Yingjin then delivered a speech and extended a warm welcome to the participants. He said that the Bohai Rim region is an important area for China's economic development. As an emerging industry, the environmental protection industry is of great significance for promoting regional economic development and enhancing strategic competitiveness. As an alliance secretary, Tianjin University will make active contributions in the areas of alliance construction, integration of production, education and research, and transformation of research results.

At the meeting, all participating representatives spoke. Wei Fusheng, academician of the China National Environmental Monitoring Center, said that the original development of China's environmental monitoring instruments was "fast", but the foundation was not solid enough. Today, we must change the mode of development to achieve: government, production, learning, research, use 5 in one. In the industrial alliance, each member should learn from each other's strengths and complement each other's strengths and unite to promote the development of instruments in the Bohai Rim, and even in the whole country and the world.

Chen Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the China National Environmental Monitoring Center, analyzed the current market demand for domestic environmental monitoring instruments and encouraged all members of the coalition to adhere to basic principles and improve the strength of independent innovation, which has become a hope for the development of monitoring instruments in China.

Jiang Huohua, Director of the Integrated Division of the Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, believes that the Bohai Rim is China's third largest economic circle, and establishing an alliance here can radiate energy and achievements to China. It is hoped that all members of the coalition team will give full play to their respective backbone forces, and the monitoring department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection will also provide strong support for strategic alliances.

At the unveiling ceremony, Fan Qingjie, representative of the sponsoring unit of the League, read the alliance proposal. The participants discussed the draft of the coalition and all the candidates voted by their hands.
