On January 19, 2012, the reporter learned that Denso recently announced that it is working with Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. to develop an information distribution service system. In addition, Denso and Kyushu Power will work together with Fukuoka City in Japan to conduct demonstration tests of the system.
The working principle of the information distribution service system jointly developed by Denso and Kyushu Electric Power Co., Ltd. is to combine the information database of Fukuoka City with the electric vehicle charging station technology of Kyushu Electric Power Co., Ltd., as well as the information equipment and telecommunications technology of Denso, and to integrate electric vehicles. The internal information equipment and mobile information devices are connected to the electric vehicle charging station. The electric vehicle charging station is connected to the Internet to provide consumers with information services.
Fukuoka City and Kyushu Electric Power Company will provide event information, travel information, disaster prevention information, and other information for the system. The system will help promote the use of electric vehicles and create a low-carbon society. Denso, Kyushu Electric Power, and Fukuoka City will begin demonstration tests on the system at the end of the fiscal year 2011-2012, and consider whether to put the system into commercial use based on the test results.
